Terms & disclaimers
The rules for using StockPilot, and what it can and cannot promise. Please read the disclaimers — they matter for your business.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1.Not financial, tax or legal advice
StockPilot helps you keep records. Its reports, books and statements are not professional advice and do not replace an accountant, an auditor or your ZRA filing. Have your figures checked before you rely on them for tax, a loan, an audit or any official purpose.
2.Figures are only as good as what goes in
- Every total is worked out from what you and your staff enter. A sale not rung up, a wrong count or a mistyped price gives a wrong answer.
- Count regularly and check that the stock and money add up.
- Rounding to the ngwee can leave a difference of a few ngwee; the app says so where it happens.
3.“Missing” and “short” are signs, not proof
When StockPilot reports missing stock or money short, it means the numbers disagree. It can be a miscount, a late entry, breakage or a sale nobody recorded — or theft. Never accuse, punish or dismiss anyone on these figures alone. Look into it first.
4.Business analysis and suggestions
Statistics, suggested prices, reorder levels and budget suggestions are calculations from your past figures. They are a starting point, not a promise of what will sell. The decision — and its result — is yours.
5.StockPilot does not hold your money
StockPilot records cash, mobile money and bank payments; it does not move or keep them. Payments happen through your bank or mobile money provider, and any problem with a payment is between you and them.
6.Internet and availability
- StockPilot needs the internet. It can be slow or unavailable when your network is, during maintenance, or when a service we rely on has a problem.
- Keep a simple paper backup for the counter, and download important reports now and then.
- Notifications and reminders may arrive late or not at all. Do not rely on them alone for anything urgent.
7.Your account and your staff
- Keep passwords private. You are responsible for what happens under logins in your business.
- You decide who joins your business and what they may see and do. Give each person only what they need.
- Only enter information you are allowed to keep — including about your customers and staff.
8.Pictures and files you upload
Upload only pictures and files you own or have permission to use. Product pictures can be reused by other shops through the picture library, so do not upload anything private. We may remove anything unlawful or offensive.
9.Paying
The first month is free. After that the subscription is paid monthly by mobile money or bank transfer. We will tell you before any price change. You can stop at any time; no refund is given for part of a month already paid.
10.Fair use
Do not use StockPilot for anything illegal, try to reach another business's data, or try to break or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.
11.Our responsibility
We work hard to keep StockPilot correct, safe and running, but it is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be free of mistakes or interruptions. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost stock or business decisions made from its figures. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Zambian law.
12.Changes and law
We may update these terms; we will tell you in the app before important changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Zambia.
Still stuck?
